ignorant
Last Sat. i bought a battery to replace my step-father's in his Jimmy. I put it on the floor in the back seat and I was going to install that day....but the parents wanted to go to the casino so i put it off. I left the battery in the back seat. I did not realize that it would leak. It tipped over this week while driving to and from work and I really did not notice since I assumed that it was sealed and would not be a problem. MAN AM I AN IDIOT! Acid ate away my carpet in the back on the floor behind the passanger side. It looks terrible. What do you think is the best answer to a fix if you were me? I suppose I could cover it up with a mat but I will still know it is there. How much do you think it would be to get the carpet replaced at a chevy dealership? I found a place online that sold new molds for like $115.00. If I can find the receipt I'll let you know the place. I replaced it like 3 years ago and haven't had a problem since. Hope that helps. ignorant
That is sounding better. My original guess was that the dealership would charge about $400 to rplace the carpet. I am affraid to call and ask!

They sent me out a ton of carpet samples. If you want to you can change it to any color... or keep it stock gray. I'm looking for that receipt as we speak. Chad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just went to their website... unless I did it wrong it looks like they only have replacement carpet for 99-02. Not anything 03' and up if you do a search on google or something you might find a place that will send you samples to check with color and quality. Aspentaylor
Ah that bites! Sorry! This actually reminds me of a lawsuit that my boss handled a while back. He does subrogation and he was attempting to recover money from a shop. The employees of the shop placed a battery on a lady's back seat and it leaked everywhere. I can't remember what the outcome. It was an odd, but hilarious case. We even examined how the backseat was shaped....it was nuts! Good luck w/ your carpet!
