BOB47 Posted April 26, 2005 Report Share Posted April 26, 2005 I'll probably get a lot of flak over this but--K-mart chrome polish. $2.39 a bottle. The easiest I have ever used. Removes surface rust. peerson Posted April 26, 2005 Report Share Posted April 26, 2005 Believe it or not, 0-0-0-0 Steel Wool works better than anything to clean chrome. Just make sure it has 4-zero's or else you could scratch the chrome finish. And NEVER, EVER use a scotchbrite pad (I learned that the hard way). Chrome really does not need "Polishing" per-se. Just keep it clean and away from road salt. Oh, and make sure that it is indeed chrome and not anodized or polished aluminum (results can be disasterous). vtodd82 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 windex does wonders. if you look on the back of a windex bottle, its directions show it is safe for use on chrome. i have used windex almost since i have had the truck with no problems. it works great as well....quick and easy.
