Very similar to what MN C5 is installing in his SS. Just some bigger fuel injectors and a little PCM tuning and its ready to roll. This will make more power than the 454 and is a direct drop in for our motors. I'd expect mid 400 HP to the wheels and a little more TQ if installed in our trucks running a conservative cam. Plus its ready for a big shot of nitrous or a supercharger.

BigTex, I get the feeling you're a big fan of the laughing gas?

The power that nitrous gives you is amazing. It just happens to be the best bang for the buck. I tried a whipple on my last truck, but it couldn't hold it ground against a 100 shot of the cold. I'd be interested in trying a new Radix, but its $$$ and I think the LQ9s 10:1 compression is a little high for boost.

Here is a Gen III engine for you. Slap some longtube truck headers on it and get the 8.1 liter accesories and you have yourself one healthy powerplant. Delete the ECU, Harness, and calibration that comes with it and it can be had for under $20K. http://store.yahoo.com/azspeed/sise600ho535.html

I guess gas mileage would not be a concern with that thing? Gas tanks however, you may need to look where you were going to mount the second 26 gal tank so you can go at least 400 miles before stopping again. :D Sharp looking engine though.
