bsteff Posted May 13, 2005 Report Share Posted May 13, 2005 I installed the Corsa Sport catback in my garage last night. When I finished I fired the truck up and checked for leaks. The clamp at the front of the intermediate pipe and the clamp at the front of the muffler leak very slightly. I could see that the clamp kinked the pipe slightly. Today I turned the clamps and retightened and the leaks got better, but didn't go away. How big of a deal are these leaks? Is it OK to have minor leaks, should I get the system welded up????? fox_forma Posted May 13, 2005 Report Share Posted May 13, 2005 Could it just be that the clamp is tighter on the one side not letting it seal correctly. Whatever you did that made it get a little better keep doin it and maybe it will fully go away. Just sounds like its not clamped down evenly. fox_forma Posted May 13, 2005 Report Share Posted May 13, 2005 Which ever side isnt sealing correctly loosen the other side and tighten the side with the leak more. Hope it works out for ya.
