Westers PCM results

any 1/4 mile times coming soon? only asking since quite often one truck can be faster than another simply due to build.

My computer should be here next week. I will post results with my "pre computer" results. (all from the G-Tech on the same strech of runway)

I just ordered my PCM from Westers. He gave me the 20% off on the chip. He said he figured out what was wrong with the shift points and has it fixed. The ETA is up in the air because of lack of cores. I can't wait till it come in. :jester:

I've been talking with Lyndon back and forth about making changes to the PCM.

 

I also got a bill from UPS for shipping. He just told me to send it back.

 

I have to say, this could be the worst product in the world but the custmer service is incredible. He really makes doing business a pleasure and in these days, it's difficult to find.

No problems really, just a few things I would like tweeked.

 

Lyndon said he got my core back on Monday and shipped either Tues or Wed, I can't remember. I figure the end of next week I should have it.

 

It's sitting at the airport this week anyway so as far as I'm concerned it's running perfect! :P

IMHO your not going to see those gains on an SS with just programing... You can add a little timing and tweak the shift points ect... But I'd be surprised if anyone with a SS picks up that much..

 

Besides, for the cost of programing you can purchase LS1 Edit (Almost) and tune it as much as you like.

 

My 2002 Yukon with a bit of tweaking dyno'ed at 297RWHP a fairly healthy gain on a 5.3 .. I don't think your comparision works sorry... The SS has the same motor, Right? And 20 more horse Right? It's more that the half a tick in compression that did it..

 

I'll know more about actual dyno testing of the SS in a 2WD format on Tuesday of Next week. I'll post the dyno sheets of a Stock program vs My Improved Version.

not yet... just trying to save money to get one.. hopefully before the end of july so i can get that 20% discount.. my dad got his in for his 4 door 99 Tahoe and its like night and day.. all i can say is WOW....

Another encouraging response for Westers PCM.................WOW :thumbs:
