LSR Mike Posted August 4, 2003 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2003 Well, the new Snugtop SL was installed, and it does fit over the tailgate protector lip and looks great IMHO. The bad news, I was looking over the new lid and I see a Bump!. An Installation Gorilla had tightened a Bolt that holds the latching mechanism in place to the point where it pushed up the fibeeglass and cracked it, and the paint! AND on top of that, there was a little piece of fiberglass under the lip which took a bite out of the paint on the Tailgate Cap. I am bummed out, The Lid is on it's way back to Snugtop for warranty fix/replace, the manager asked me to get an estimate for the fix on the Tailgate Cap (minor but 1st scratch). Overall the shop is taking care of things and very apolegetic. Maybe some pix by next week........... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
