true daul exhuast

hey guys hows it goin.. im currently waiting the delevery of my 06 sss but in the mean time im tryin to figure out some mods i wana get.. is a true daul exhuast worth the effort. or just go with the regular cat back systems? i was thinking a flowmaster 40 seriers muffler

just stick to a catback. true-duals aren't going to gain you any more than a good cat back.

I have true dual ex. w/ Flowmaster 40 series' w/ stock ex. manifolds. It sounds good and flows better than cat-back and was a very easy fit->(my favorite part). Maybe not a 20hp gain over a cat-back system but for the money you shell out any way if you want it go for it. You'll probably decide to change your cat-back later anyway why not just do it once.

Just some pennies from a guy who's got it, take it as you may.

So they're not doing a true dual exhaust on the 06's? or are you talking about the the 2 into 1 muffler that the stockers have?..

When I bought my truck it had true duals that the dealer had this custom exhaust guy do. From what I'm told he's the best custom exhaust guy in the state, and he's a hell of a nice guy too.

 

When I first got the truck one of the mufflers got a rattle in it from an internal piece that had come loose and it was really loud. I took it to him and he replaced the mufflers with brand new more aggressive sounding and all welded internal mufflers, and I didn't pay a penny. Even got to sit and watch him do it. I'm mechanically challenged so whenever I get a chance to watch a pro do things I really enjoy it.
