diggler_d Posted November 17, 2005 Report Share Posted November 17, 2005 my truck does same noise when it goes to rec (must be the door also)i planning on taking to the dealer this saturday i'll let you know what they find out <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i took it in finally and they replaced the control panel and i drove it home still did ithe same wind noise in rec taking back again some time and let them take another wack at it i know it's a different noise then what you had noise with the rec door that's what i'm trying to get fixed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bowtie70SS Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2005 I fixed it!!! I bought a new actuator motor for the recirculation door and replaced it. Man what a bitch. I had to take the dash pad off, loosen the vent tubes, cut one plastic weld, and use my prybar to hold stuff apart, but I did it. The shop manual says to remove dash, seats, console etc. The dealer told me about $1100. So... if anybody has this annoying squeal I can tell you how to fix it!!
