Corvette servo install

Recommended Posts

Did everyyone who installed a corvette servo just have to remove the heat shield to install it? I found one topic through searching where that was all that had to be removed, does anybody else concur? I remember on my 01 Silverado that it was a little too tight for getting everything out that I had to lower the back of the tranny an inch or two.

I moved the tail of the tranny over a few inches and pushed the heat sheild up to remove and install the servos. Since you have the differential I bet dropping the tranny/diff would make it easier. The heat shield can be "unwrinkled" when you have everything back in place.

:withstupid: I also unbolted the tail mount of the tranny and moved everything over as far as possible to make it easier - that couple inches made a huge difference.

Mr. P. :)

edit - BUT I had my exhaust free, not sure if the drivetrain will budge much without binding up the exhaust if it's still bolted-up :dunno:
