quickmedic1 Posted July 19, 2004 Report Share Posted July 19, 2004 Has anyone tried the new escort 8500x50 or the bel rx65. I have tried the v1 but there are some things I dont like about it. LOUI1313 Posted February 17, 2005 Report Share Posted February 17, 2005 Hey, I have had the Escort 8500 for the past year and it has saved me many times! I highly recommend it. I have heard the V1 is really good but it can get hung up on the direction. For me, if there is a cop out there, I just want to know about it. Also the Escort also has POP technology in it. I am sure the new V1 does too, but this has saved me many times! POP technology is a new type of speed detection that turns the gun off immediatly so detectors can't pick it up. I don't know about you, but I want to know if it is out there. Also, the last thing about the escort is that you can send it in for updates in case a new technology comes out in speed detection. They did extensive testing and the Escort X50 out performed the V1 in all areas some more then others, some just barely. I would say your safe with either one. I currently have a Whistler 1763... It's not bad...not as good as the others.but so far it's served me well on my trips to Sandiego, Vegas, and Virginia Beach...
