slimsoftball
OK, here's the deal. I ordered the Flex-a-Lite's about a week ago and they are on the way. After 3 months of talking myself in-and-out of it, I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger and order the Magnacharger/Radix. Here is my question; when these fans arrive in the next day or two, should I send them right back to JEGS or go ahead and install them. Nothing I am reading mentions the compatability/benifits of using electric fans with the supercharger. If any of you could shed some light on the subject I would be gratefull. Especially before I lose the will to spend 5-6 grand on it and change my mind.
ctrow
Gas mileage, faster RPMs, less drag on the motor, better cooling while in traffic... I'd say get em'
BigTex
I think they will work great together. I say keep the fans. Check with www.tbyrne.com on the Radix. Last month he had them on sale for about $4500 if I remember correctly.

dcairns
You will need to fabricate some means of mounting the intercooler resivour. It is normally mounted on the fan shroud. Here is how one guy did the combination of e-fan and Radix Full thread at www.ls1tech.com
slimsoftball
Thanks for the tip. I will come up with something.

slimsoftball
In keeping with the magnacharger theme..... I picked up the new issue of Truckin' today and there is a good article on putting one on a 5.3 Silverado. Dyno'd at 403hp and 415lb/ft.
dcairns
After you do your Radix install, don't forget to check that your intercooler pump is actually runnning. My SS had a missing fuse that provides power to the post where they pump ties in.
slimsoftball
Yea thanks. When I was doing my eleventy billion hours of internet research on it, I read that thread of yours and saved it so I wouldn't forget myself. Come to think of it, your threads are the ones that got me started on the whole supercharging idea, so I guess if you wanted to get technical I should tell my wife to yell at you.
