BLK_TX_VHO
Anyone experienced flickering headlamps on cold starts? Lasts no more than 5 minutes and isn't too bad. The volt gauge is a solid 14v. If interior lights are on they will do the same thing as the headlamps. I'm guessing that this is in the regulator or alternator, but wondering if anyone has an expert opinion or experience. Thanks!
fordsareslow
Mine don't flicker to bad, bud I do notice that if I turn on my windsheild wipers my lights get dim. My guage also stays solid at 14v.
PladdPezzPunk
i've seen the same with my windows, put them down and the gauges go from white to dark amber. very noticiable. biggest problem is the way gm decided to wire everything inside the car on almost one circut. then to top it off, put a battery that was too small in and an alternator that bearly can charge the battery to begin with. no props to gm for that. deezel
Replaced my alt with a 145Amp model and fixed most of the dimming that occurs with power accessories. Still on stock battery after 2.5 years and 54K mi. Optima battery will go in when this one dies.
backinblack
I've noticed that if I'm puting the windows down at night, my dash lights will dim, seems like the headlights will dim also but I'm not 100% sure on that one
