misterp
Can someone please post instructions and/or illustrations on how to R&R the front half-shafts? I'm boning-up for my drop kit install this week and would appreciate the advance info. Mr. P.
Bowtie70SS
I just took the axle nuts off of my shafts and left them (the axles) in place. There is plenty of room, the only PITA is getting the hub assemblies out of the old spindles. I took mine out before removing the spindles. You have to be careful not to damage the ABS sensors. I think it would be a waste to totally remove the axles. Also if memory serves the axle nut torque is 160ftlbs. Later Dave
PladdPezzPunk
no all data listing yet, but it's real easy. 160-220 is a fine torque for the axel nuts. As far as removal, two ways depending on if you have a lift. Unbolt the half shaft from the final drive and remove the axel nut. with a little coaxing, the axel will slide out. second way is to remove the whole spindle then the axel slide out really easy.
