hog4oc
I got my chip from PCMforless for my 2005 Silverado SS. After 8 months, the engine check light is on and I diconnect the battery, reset the system. Still the light is on. I put back my original chip (good thing I keep it), the light is off. Any idea why? I've already emailed Bryan at PCMforLess, will keep you udate what he said. Dave
cadowns
You will need to go by Auto Zone and get the code so that you will know what is wrong. CD
hog4oc
There's nothing wrong because after I put back the original chip, the enginer light is off, there must be something wrong with the chip i got from PCMforLess. I didn't change anything for the last 8 month except get an oil change about 3K miles ago. Dave
TimB
It could be the engin crank relearn code go to auto zone and find out sometimes this happens with new PCM's. You can get it reset at the dealers.
geomcrider
Mine went off twice..... It runs a little lean. Only happens when its REAL hot out and I'm stuck in traffic. Cleared the code and hasent been on for a long time. No major biggie ! I'll live with it !

And that PCM is alot bigger than a "chip" (wrong verbage)
