Picking up a new trans tomorrow and then having the pump rebuilt in the current trans. Once I save up for a bigger torque converter, I'll swap the trans with the shift kit back in. zippy Posted March 27, 2006 Report Share Posted March 27, 2006 You could have. Some have missed that before, but then it won't come out of park either. That's easy to diagnose. I was just thinking maybe the interal linkage fell off for some odd reason without me noticing. I'll have to check if it goes into neutral. I pretty sure it does. Is the boost valve in all the way if the snap ring is installed, or do I still need to push it up farther. No if the snap ring is in the groove its right. just because it comes out of park ,doesnt mean that the manuel valve is hooked up.Its easy for the rod to fall off when u put the VB on. good point, the park pawl doesn't work off the manual valve. didn't think that one through very well.
