I had a few issues with the tech2 when I worked at the dealer, and my Snap-On MODIS will do it some times. They come out with updates for it all the time. I have also seen problems with serial data lines on the vehicle and bad pcms do it. With out seeing it my self its hard to tell you what it could be.
