FalconPilot
With the engine off, and the key on, or with the engine on and no other noise, I hear a strange hum. It sounds like a sick electric servo. It is comming from just in front of the door, on the passenger side, to the right of the glove box. There looks like some kind of electrical junction box up there. If the engine is off, and the key on, I can even hear it outside the truck, but faintly. At first, I thought it might be the fuel pump, but that is not it. Then I thought it was the heat-airconditioning fan. NOPE Any thoughts? Am I the only one? 8000 miles 13.2 MPG
BenKey
My first thought was the fuel pump, but if you say that's not it

SuperDave
Pull the fuse for the fan blower-ac/heater circuit to check if it is the noise, all GM's have fresh air ventilation, blower fan runs on low when the key is on. That is my guess anyway. Or you could just turn up that bad to the bone Bose stereo!
