Trucks don't use the LS series. LS is car only. LR, LQ, LM, etc are trucks. The Gen III small block trucks were 99' up and only in the new body style and they were released early in 98'. In 99' both body style trucks were made in the 1500 series. The old body style trucks were available in the 1500, 2500, and 3500 series, but the 1500 was only available in extended cab models. That same body style was available in 00' also in 2500 and 3500 series trucks. None of them were produced with the Gen III small blocks though. The 2500HD and 3500's didn't come out until 01' in the new body style though.

Vette had the LS1 in 97

That is correct. The base engine for the Corvette from 97'-04' was the LS1.

I just didn't list the LS engines since they were car only. With or without the X.

LS1=346/5.7L Camaro/Firebird 98'-02', Corvette 97'-04', and GTO 04'

LS2=364/6.0L GTO 05'-06', Corvette 05'-06', 06' CTS-V, (and the odd one out) Trailblazer 06'

LS4=325/5.3L Grand Prix 06', Monte Carlo 06', and Impala 06'

LS6=346/5.7L Corvette 01'-04' and CTS-V 04'-05'

LS7=428/7.0L Corvette 06'
