BAD2THEBONEBLACKSS
Does she owe on the alero and what are they asking for the Cobalt. Also is the Cobalt SS Supercharged?
popeye55
she owes 10,000 it's a 04 she just bought as a left over, and they are asking 17 and change for the supercharged cobalt
kaotik1
I'd look around, my sister just picked up the Cobalt SS today I think it was the non-charged 2007 laoded for 19,8xx then taxes. 100k warranty
BAD2THEBONEBLACKSS
I dont think that trade sounds bad as long as the Cobalt is supercharged.
Stitches040
No Deal .... For maybe a couple of Grand more, you can walk yourself into a '06 Leftover with the 100K warranty or an '07 ... That roughly translate to about $40.00 more a month on a 5 year loan. Seems a bit high to ask $18+K for a used Cobalt with 20K on the clock, even if it is an SS ....

The used Cobalt is worth less, but so is her trade. It really comes down to the difference.

KissMySilvSS
I'd try to sell off the Alero and pay it off, if possible. Because technically they are 'showing' you 10k for the Alero, but really putting maybe 6-7 in hard cash in the car which means they are marking up the Cobalt. Either way you look at it, the Cobalt is too much $ for the miles. She is upside down on the Alero, so the dealer will show her whatever she wants for a trade in on the Cobalt, or whatever else to try to break even with her. She will have to find someone to buy her Alero for 10K (which is doubtful because consumers are leary of Olds now) or just take the hit. She will have to decide.
