Black04SS Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 About 30 days ago I was rear-ended only bumper and hitch damage,,,but the body shop had to remove or move the body and in the process replaced my gas cap with one with a short tether. Now thier telling me the long one that actually reachs the gas door doesn't exist My sons 03SSS has the long tether,,like mine used too Any help would be appriciated. Black04SS

r8rs4lf Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 Cut and trim it off! I cut mine which is much better now. It doesn't feel like I can only go so far. Also, since there is a place to put the cap while your fueling, why have it dangle there up against the paint?

My 04 had a long tether B4 the wreck,,got used to hanging the tether on the door hook while gassing up.Maybe this is an early 04?? With my son having an 03SSS,one of us would have noticed a difference by now Black04SS
