C6 ZO6 or Ferrari Maranello

Recommended Posts

The Ferrari is a gorgeous looking car....

Koe550_fr.jpg

It's definately got my attention

if i had a choice i would go with the ZO6 hands down... the Ferarri is an amazing automobile (the name car would not be an appropriate label) but the fact that the ZO6 was built by a domestic manufacturer (sp) would have me sold... Did i mention it has 500 hp? :jester:

The 575 has 515bhp, they are both powerful machines.

well you definatly see more z06's here than marnello's, the only time i have seen one was the time in hunington when i played around with one . looks like a preety sweet ride. i couldnt tell you what id choose but if i had the chance it would probably be the vette since its closer to my price range, aftermarket is bigger for the vette or will be in the future to if you plan to mod.

If I did go Ferrari I would only consider minor mods, like wheels or exhaust.

The Vette, no question. No1, my size. 6'5" 320 lbs., I have a better chance fitting in a Vette than a Ferrari. 2, Bang for the buck. 3, Parts availability, ans serviceability. A ferrari will require more routine maintenence, and cost 3 to 4 times what a Vette (even a Z06), IF you can find anyone that can work on it. Besides, the Vette would be easier to hop up.

The Chevy is the obvious choice maintenance wise, but there's something about owning a prancing horse that makes it worth the while.

I'm gonna be brave here and say the Ferrari. I love the Z06 for the same reasons everyone else have stated but here in Los Angeles their all over the road. I'll see 10 of them driving 10 minutes to work. No there're not the Z06 but the average Los Angelenos don't know what the hell Z06 is anyways but then again that's just me.

I know what you mean, lots of people have no clue about the ZO6, but everyone knows Ferrari.

Well...for me..the Vette...but thats mainly b/c Ferarri's are a maintnance nightmare for anyone..dealers included...but i guess since cost isnt a factor that throws that out...id still rather have a Vette...but...if i were to get the Italian Stallion..the 575 would be the 1 i would get

I've had a few vettes now, I agree with you on the 575.

the craftsmanship in the italian horse is amazing. from what ive ehard the z06 is not a day to day driver for picky people who are dropping a ton of money on a car. i love the new z06 hands down raw power and just amazing. however a ferrari is a ferrari hand built and maybe one of the best sounding set of engines. what you should do is test out both of them. just my .02

The sound of that V12

If money is no object......a Ferrari vs. a Chevy...let me think about it....yup, I would go with the Ferrari.  :P  The ZO6 is a bad machine, but I've never seen a Ferrari roll by that didn't turn my head and have me lowering the radio to hear the sweet exhaust note (and there are alot of em' down here in S. FL).  I wouldn't give the vette a second glace...although I wouldn't challenge him either!

If money was an object and the car was to be driven alot, the ZO6 would be a much more logical choice.

I know where you coming from, I'm leaning to that ferrari.

Price is no object get the ferrari... insane performance and all the prestige of owning something you don't see on the street everyday.

If price is then definitely z06 b/c there is no better car for the money.

or the wildcard option... hold out for the Corvette SS / Blue Devil and drop the $120,000 to own the baddest chevy ever imagined.

I keep hearing things about the ZO7, blue devil, SS but I thinks its too far away right now. But that would definately be the car to have.

Well thanks for your opinions, I'm going to make this decision pretty soon. I've located a few maranellos and the ZO6 is suppose to hit the dealer soon.

Seriously man, the Modena looks cooler IMO.. plus, it even sounds better !

I'd have to disagree, the sound from the 5.75L V12 is amazing, I prefer it over the 4.3L V8 in the 430. I prefer the nice streamline, elegant look of the 575 over the modena. Also I like the rarity of the 575.

I see the 575's more than the 360 or the F430. The F430 is actually the right choice here. I saw two 575's just yesterday alone. They dont stand out as much as the other sportier Ferrari's. But this is coming from a guy that sees a Ferrari almost everyday around here, and even my wife doesnt even notice the 575's... but when a 360 or a F430 cruises by, she always comments on them. She even told me one day when I pointed the 575 out that she didnt think it looked like a ferrari, or even that nice compared to the other ones.

By the way, the original question... Z06 vs Ferrari... the more I think of it, its like asking... Should I buy a Honda with 500+ HP or a Mercedes with 500+HP. Its not even a question.. lol. If you have enough to buy the Ferrari, you can pick up the Z06 with the change you get back from the Ferrari :D

have you looked at the new hybrids? i hear there slick. might wanna check em out before u purchase anything JMO

Come on ? a hybrid? This guy has more money than he knows what to do with.. he is in the oil business, afterall.

The reason our gas prices are so high, is because guys like this need hard decisions to make. Z06 -or- a Ferrari...

just buy a f-50

That would be nice, but not looking that high.

The styling is sorta off on that one, looks like a TVR Tuscan.

bugatti veyron

Way too much coin for a car.

i like this one if price isn't an option 500 hp my ass try 1000hp/1100ftlbs

I'd rather buy a vette and send it Lingenfelter or anywhere else than give Hennessey any of my money, I'd probably have to sue him and I wouldn't even get my hood back

I think I've found the car I'm looking for, I'm going to look at it tomorrow.
