dgi
going today at 6pm to talk to the dealer (its 8:36am now). Also have a buddy of mine looking at the auction history reports to see how much he can get me one from Manheim... Just curious what the difference in price will be. I'll update this thread after i talk to both later tonight. Thanks for all the advice... kind of exciting that i may have a new (to me) truck in my driveway tonight!!!! Black2003SS
I bought my 2003 SS with 15k miles on it 6 months ago for $23,000. Not a good deal. The same dealership had a 2003 blue SS with 25k miles on it for about the same price.
Kyle's03SilveradoSS
I paid $25,795 for my '03 with 15.5k miles on it in June '05. Edited October 18, 2006 by Kyle's03SilveradoSS (see edit history)
Stiff1
I got my 03 in Jan. of 05 with 13000 miles for $23500. It had chrome wheels, spray in bedliner, and tinted windows. It seemed like a good deal at the time. I would say around 20K would be fair.
thomp62301
theres a 04 in my area with half the miles for the same price
dgi
well, i got the price reduced to $22,500! Supposedly that price is $100 over what they have in the car and they can do no better. I feel good at this price but maybe i'm wrong... what do you guys think? stevebbb
That sounds like a much better price. What about the warranty?
dgi
I picked up the truck last night!!!!! Very exciting. I have to go back to take care of some common problems... -rear windows need re-sealing -seat moves around on track -exhaust tip hangs too low -small stuff like that I am seriously considering having the warranty extended to 100K miles. It will be another $2000 but i think it well worth it. What other stuff should i look for? Thanks to everyone for their help and advice, i'm looking forward to enjoying the truck and this community! ct005ke002
I found a 03 black SS with 10090 miles. The dealer asked for 22,500. I am a first time truck buyer. I don't know anything about it. I am attracted with the look of SS and I don't have anything to haul. Is that a good deal? It is an AWD. I tested drived it and the cornering is very good. But the brake is very spongy or soft feel. I need to press hard to hold the truck to stop. There is no warranty for the truck. Is 2003 model a good one? Does that yr model have many recalls? I am expecting gas milage about 15mil/gal. Do I get that? Edited October 22, 2006 by ct005ke002 (see edit history)

Do I get that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Condition Excellent $23,600 Vehicle Highlights Mileage: 53,000 Engine: V8 6.0 Liter Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: AWD Selected Equipment Change Equipment Standard Air Conditioning Tilt Wheel ABS (4-Wheel) Power Steering Cruise Control Leather Power Windows AM/FM Stereo Dual Power Seats Power Door Locks Dual Front Air Bags Alloy Wheels Optional Multi Compact Disc Blue Book Suggested Retail Value $23,600 the price might be different where you live i live in palm springs CA but Thats with 53k on it which is what you can expect from most every day drivers. but to only have 10k on it and the way you say the brakes feel i dont know sounds a lil sketchy to me. but yeah i have an 06 and i get 14city 19 highway but i have the 2wd and i know that 2wd does better than the awd. i say get the price down some more and hopefully this will be you soon in your 03 ss
