03CHEV SS Posted December 14, 2006 Report Share Posted December 14, 2006 Hi everybody new to the site and really like it so far. I just purchased a 03 Chev. SS on 12-1-06 and really enjoy it so far. I purchased on Friday night and my lovely wife wreaked it Saturday around noon. Roads were slick here and she slide into a guard rail at about 10 mph. Didn't hurt much. I really looking forward to getting some info. from you guys on upping the HP on my truck. So anything you guys to tell me to get to 400hp to start with would be great. This weekend project for truck is window tinting. 5% on back 3 windows and 20% on the dr. and pass. windows Thanks Tony. Here a couple pictures. misterp Posted December 14, 2006 Report Share Posted December 14, 2006 Congrats on the truck and welcome to the forum - sorry about your recent accident. As for the 400hp question my impression is that all the regular bolt-ons will net you somewhere in the 380-ish range, I don't think you will be able to achieve that without also adding in a cam change; don't forget tranny shift kit & converter too while you're at it and that should get you down in the mid-upper 13's.
