snohog
I have been reading from this site since last Aug when I purchased a 2006 SS. Its a great forum with all the tech stuff on SS's I'll ever need. I have driven Chevy trucks for along time but never owned a new one, lastest is 1986 silverado. On to the reason this title says was a new SS. I purchased the SS new in Aug, on Dec 23rd I was rear ended by a guy leaving the local pub who had way to many to drive, he couldnt walk. Never hit his brakes. I saw him coming and attempted to pull away from him but from a dead stop on wet roads I didnt have a chance. No insurance, no registration no divers license. $10,400 dollars later I have my truck back with a new bed, new drivers side cab corner, new rear frame section, new bumper and everything associated. It looks good but I cant drive till the snow is gone. It did trach correct on the way home from the body shop, none of the drive train was hurt. Oh well thats my story. Hope to get to use some of your performance write ups on my SS this spring. Jimmy Hicks (snohog)

snohog
welcome, and good luck in the future Thanks for the welcome, things did turn out pretty good. Finally got the SS back on the road after the snow mostly melted. The only thing I found wrong was the bed a little misaligned, body shop will correct next week. No rattles no other problems. The best part is Nationwide sent me a check for $822.00 for shared savings because I used the body shop they wanted. I promply went to the local truck and trim and added some window tint to doors, soft cover and bed rug. Now I need the PCM tune for the summer coming up.
