well i talked to frank at rev race works, because he recently tuned my PCM, and he said it was probably bad fuel. Because i had just filled the tank up, and after filling up i did notice my miles to empty was dropping faster than it should, and since the code did not come back. I am gonna go take the truck for a little drive in like an hour or so. i'll let you guys know if the light comes back on

ok i just took the truck for a ride. drove about 5 miles to sheetz, let the truck sit while i ate, and then drove like 10 miles before i parked it. No light and it is running fine. I ran the truck at various speeds on the highway up to 100 and tried driving it hard and normal, but everything seems ok.

digging up some old bones here cuz my truck keeps throwing a code. Not often, Its done it a total of maybe 5 times now since feb. I sent my pcm to frank for him to go over and everything is fine with my tune. Where exactly are the knock sensors located at? i am going to check them tomorrow. The last two times the light came on, it went back out before i could even clear it.

I have this problem now, about a day after I took all the plastic off the motor and went to the car wash to get er' all cleaned up--here come the light & PO327.. Man I wish I had come across this post first..Correct me if I am wrong but there is no way to get to them with out pulling the intake, right? If so, what gaskets should I get when I go back together, I looked em up at the parts stores and there is several to choose from, just trying to save myself a headache later.. Thanks

Yes, no way to change knock sensors without pulling the intake. It isn't a bad job. Here are some reference pictures (keep in mind mine is an LS6 valley cover and looks a little bit different:

After the intake is off. This picture is after I installed the new sensors...note that I used sealant around the knock sensor boot to prevent water intrusion:

Pop the boots off, separate the connectors. The sensors screw in so use a deep socket to remove:

The connectors can be challenging if you are not aware how they work. Gently squeeze the sides together and they pop off. Can be a little tough if you have big fingers as the sensors are fairly deep in the valley cover:

Just a little closer look at how the sensors insert into the connectors:

A look under the valley cover. You can see the pedestals where the sensors screw on to.
