436ci engine and ported L92 pics! WARNING, big file!

Recommended Posts

Well, I will start off with the bad and the good news. The bad news, come to find out (after requesting for my engine builder to recheck the numbers) that my SCR and DCR are much higher than I wanted. My DCR needed to be in the 8.1-8.5 range when it ended up at 9.3. So basically the engine wouldn't run on 91 octane without going with a bigger cam and thicker head gasket etc. Believe me, I was pissed at first. After a couple of days of thinking about it I came to a solution that would actually workout better. My father is builiding a tricked out long travel sandrail and plans on going with 600 plus hp. So the engine that was supposed to go in my truck is now going into my fathers rail. And I will be buying a new LSX block and doing a 470ish ci engine for my truck that will probably cost less than the 436ci and aproach 700fwhp N/A. More on the new engine build later.

As most of you know I pulled my stock motor a couple weeks back with plans of dropping a new 436ci resleeved LS2 in. If you did not see it here's the thread. 436ci Im ataching the pictures of the engine and heads below.

tank of gas wont last long with that.

with prices climbing how long will it last,

buying 2 full tanks a week just to cruse around.

cal gas now is around 3.50 a gal and climbing.

25 x 3.50 = 87.50 x 2 = 175.00 a week.

175.00 x 4 = 700.00 a month.

for some reason i see this truck being parked allot.

if you rworried about gas mpg get a geo metro. most of that heavily mod our trucks already know the mpg isnt going to be good. also with more power you can get as good as mpg because you have more power so it takes less to move your truck.

Before I pulled the old motor I filled the tank about every 2-3 weeks. She's not my everyday driver and I plan on keeping the truck for a very very long time so.....
