LS1/LQ9 same fittment

Recommended Posts

Most stuff is interchangeable like the old school small blocks. Things change from year to year on the engines. The LS1 and Lq9 intakes bolt up the same, but the water pump will need to be change if converting from the truck intake to the car. I believe the LS2 intake is slightly different :dunno: how in bolts dont remember right off hand.

The LS2 intake will bolt right up as long as you fix the pump and pulley issue.

the water pump neck is in the way, due to the lower height of the tb on the car intake, so you have adapt an ls1 pump or other styles to work with the lq9 pulley offset, this also affects the idler pulley so it has to relocated. there is in depth descriptions and pics if you do a search.
