Jspeeddemon Posted July 12, 2007 Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Zippy I have a 2007 Vortec Maxx 4wd with 3.73 gear. Unfortunately I am very unhappy with the performance with it. I traded from a Duramax to this and it probably was a mistake. I am wondering if I can improve the performance with programming enough that I won't want to trade this truck off. It feels like it is dog drunk till 3000 and then really performs about 4000 in any gear. I assume this is somewhat related to torque management and or timing. I had a 2004 Silverado SS as well and really liked it, but wanted a true 4 door truck, that this might be a good option, however this truck runs nothing like the SS, till 4000-5500, then shifts and is a tird again till 4000.
