B A D SS
All you Radix guys out there. When you installed your S/C, did you have to make any additonal fabrications?
BenKey
No. Nothing to it and everything you need is in the kit.
B A D SS
did anyone purchase the powertrain warranty? Does it require a certified installer?
BenKey
I did not purchase. A lot of fine print that sounds like it ties your hands to do anything beyond the S-chgr. It does require a certified installer, I'm nearly certain.
MN C5
All you Radix guys out there. When you installed your S/C, did you have to make any additonal fabrications? It's a very well engineered kit, like Ben said its got everything you need. That is need to get Mod fever I don't think anyone has stopped with just the SC
B A D SS
BenKey...thanks for the replies. I'm trying to persuade myself the the magna is the way to go. I'm from a small town in Texas that doesn't have a strip, so the S/C is just for Ford fuel. Do you know if you can run 91 octane with the Radix cause thats all they sell around here. BenKey
I'm sure 91 wouldn't hurt, but I think you would be safer with a custom tune beyond the superchips tuner that comes with it. You can always get the xylene from Home Depot to bump your octane numbers up.
zippy
you know, with as rich as the programming is for the radix, the xylene might do some good and lean it out a bit as well as up the octane.
SilveradoSS04
Talk to Farmtruc about the tuning. That superchips is junk compared to what he can do! Good luck on your purchase.
tbyrne
That superchips is junk Isn't the appropriate word "conservative"? There is a discount if you order the system without programming. That will help offset the cost of a custome tune. Magnuson won't warranty the supercharger if it's ordered with programming through.
