Jonmalibuss Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) that thing moves out...what was the mph on that run...and if its not a secret what the redine on the engine 150 MPH and we are keeping the redline at about 4800 because with the stock pistons we currently have in it the engine will destroy itself at around 5100 rpm. The last engine we had on the dyno we kept creeping up in rpm and we were told by the piston maufacturer that the pistons will come apart between 5100 and 5200 rpm. We will be finishing up some changes to the truck tomorrow morning and heading out to the vegas drag strip for the rest of the week. We are hoping for very very low 8's maybe even into the 7's. This truck has a lot left in it and we plan to show it even though we are entered in super gas which is a 9.90 class. We don't care we are going to throw the race by running to fast just to prove how fast this thing will/can go and this is only the beginning since we already have the next engine on it's way together with custom forged pistons which should allow us to spin over 6k.
