dcairns
Anybody else cracking up about these newscasters in their fake fireman's jackets, googles and dust masks? Even the media rep from the fire department doesn't get that carried away. Meanwhile, the locals to the side of them are hanging out in T-shirts. KJT13
reporters always go over the top. its the nature of the business. if its news worthy, make it news worthy. you gotta remember, they're only reporting it, but they're gonna be there all day doing and and they wanna feel safe. usually they're stuck indoors at a newsdesk or doing a stand-up on a street somewhere after the story has already happened. .justin.
The inlaws are in a real tight spot right now. They just decided to hightail it for the night again... they're located in a pinch spot between the Harris Fire and Witch Fire in eastern San Diego county... The fire is approaching from the north about 2 miles away right now and they can see flames getting closer from the south as well 2-3 miles away... Really fu(king sucks. This map was last updated 3 hours ago (at time of post)... their house is on espinoza road, fire to the north is just above El Monte Rd. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&i...093555&z=

That mask isn't gonna do crap for you. She should eat what we firefighters eat during a nice snotty working fire, the conditions in that pic are nothing compared to what those smoke jumpers are seeing. To all those affected, stay safe and god speed, hopefully everything turns out okay.

CAL-OSHA requirement...you would not want cute pie to have to file a workmen comp case now do you..

.justin.
sorry about the troubles....looks like the inlaws live in or around some big houses.....wonder how much those empty lots go for at the end of the culvasack? im sure alot Their place is the northern most on the cul de sac... Pretty decent place. And it's still standing today. The fire to the north hasn't advanced much at all and they can't see flames from the one to the south. The house to the south of them is huge!
