blackvert Posted March 9, 2008 Report Share Posted March 9, 2008 I picked up a set of painted SS wheels today and the center caps have peeling/cracking clearcoat on the chrome centers. It looks like I will be buying the caps with the cross flags now, I managed to f*ck up the bowtie emblems. Surprisingly they are made of metal and bend rather easy. I guess the owner of the rims didnt notice the fact that wheel cleaner and those center caps didnt seem to be friends and really F*d em up. On my SS they were already a little coroded when I bought it. Moral of the story is..dont use a wheel cleaner on your stock SS centercaps.
