willmceliece
im about ready to get some wheels and am trying to figure out options for lowering. i know its 4x4 but i want to be about 2 to 2.5 in down. i have already taken out the factory block and came down on the T bars a bit and got aligned. do we have the same suspension as the SS (z60)?? what are my options? do they make a drop Knuckle so i can put my t bars up to stock again? just curious on what some of you guys did as far as front and rear. thanks! willmceliece
ill pron do just shackles in the rear, but i have no clue what to order for the front because i cant figure out if its just the regular 4x4 front end or if the vmax has a different front suspension. mightbstock
i think the only difference between the 4x4 and the AWD would be the transfer case, again im not sure. If you want to drop the front end, add a 2" drop spindle. I would think the only thing that mattered would be if the truck was an HD vs. a 1500
vmaxon24s
i have 2 inch lowering shackles on mine and i personally dont think its low enough and it still doesnt sit exactly level. i know that there is a 2/4 drop from mcgaughys for 2wd and 4wd new body style trucks...http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.aspx?category%7ccategory_root%7c-30=Suspension&category%7ccat_-30%7c374=Lowering+Kits&canned_results_trigger=&selected_prod_ids=1708&partid=524004
