misterp
Thought some of you other dads would get a laugh out of this - My kids are staying with me right now for the summer (I divorced their mom 5-years ago) and last night out of the blue my 11-yr old daughter, very on-the-down-low, asks me "Dad, what does it mean when a man... ugh I forget the word now but it starts with an 'M'...???" Usually I'm pretty good with a comeback but that one kinda caught me unprepared and since her brother was in the room I told her I'd discuss it with her later! I understand my little girl is growing up and won't be a baby forever but she hasn't even mastered her times-tables yet! That should be a man-law or something, no sex-ed until they've begun algebra! In all seriousness I am SO glad she came to me about this and not her mother. Mr. P.

Hankg42
Ah, they grow up so much faster today. I'll bet mine didn't ask her mom about that until she was at least 11 and a half! You'll have to let us know how the discussion went. I'm glad I didn't have to give those talks to my daughters.

Big O
whats so bad about a little girl asking about a boy doing a little Mechanic'ing by himself? Since you are in texas ... maybe she was referring to mariachi?

It's all the hormones that are being injected into todays farm animals, and then being eaten by todays children. Seriously!!!! Threre are MANY reports on this subject. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...amp;type=health May I state that I only buy organic meats and vegies including natural shampoo and deoderant. Steve, sorry to hi-jack your thread. I just thought this should be concidered. Edited July 18, 2008 by SS Silv (see edit history)

Steve, sorry to hi-jack your thread. I just thought this should be concidered. Im sure that does not help any but i blame the mass media. Its the internet and the 600 channels on TV. I know growing up i was pretty innocent because i played in the forest all day and only had one channel. And when i was about 12 we got satellite and i discover Skinamax not to mention the hours i spent in front of the computer looking at porn. And just like that my innocents was gone, and now im a horney pervert
gixxerrider
I feel your pain. I have a 12.5 yr old. She dont ask me much expect to get her a glass of milk or to buy songs from I-tunes. All questions get screened thru mom before asking dad. LOL
