RacerJJ Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I hate people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started with a vanpool yesterday to save some money on gas in my Honda CR-V commuter car and when I returned to my car and started her up, the thing sounded like a rice rocket race car. That's right, some A$$hole stole my damn cat right out from under it while it was sitting there all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I drove her home open header and now I have to walk to the park and ride and pay $229 to get a new one. This is how I am repaid for trying to save some money and the planet!!!!!! God Damn thieves!!!!! I just hate people sometimes!!!!!! Quote
00silverad0 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I've heard of this trend really becoming popular. Scumbags out there man. Quote
RacerJJ Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 I had heard about the trend on the news and through crime bulletins at work but I always heard that the main targets were Toyotas and Nissans. The cops told me that this was the first Honda case they have ever heard of. Luckily, the thieves tend to stay away from American stuff so the SSS's should be safe for now. Quote
12'SROCK Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 yeah that sucks man its very common for people to do that, time to lower or gut the cats Quote
Krambo Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Luckily, the thieves tend to stay away from American stuff so the SSS's should be safe for now. Crazy man. Yea, you would think that the trucks would be easy targets due to the pipes / cats being so easy to get at. I know the old Mustangs are high up on the target list though due to them having 4 cats. Most old 5.0L guys do H pipes anyway though. Takes balls to do this in broad daylight as well. Quote
NashSS Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 no kidding. If someone were to steal my cats I'd be pissed but at the same time I wouldn't cuz I was thinking of gettin rid of them anyway. I don't think I'll have that problem around here though. about the only crime we get is break-ins for stereos. Quote
RacerJJ Posted September 16, 2008 Author Report Posted September 16, 2008 (edited) That's it, I'm going to weld some flanges to a straight pipe and be done with it. F the thieves! I can out smart them now! I'll just deal with the SES light for the rear o2. Edited September 16, 2008 by RacerJJ (see edit history) Quote
wishminewasanss Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 This sucks dude, my dad had his cat stolen overnite from his yota pick up right on the lawn of our house! So these guys will do anything for the cats. Quote
Holty Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Damn JJ, that sucks. At least they didn't do any damage to the car, it could have been much worse i guess. Quote
SSThunder Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 same thing happened to my mom while she was at work. The nerve of some people. Thieves like that need to be shot on sight. F'em f'ing bastards!! Quote
packjh Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Cant you claim that on your insurance since technically it was a stolen object, and instead of just getting a cat, talk to a local exhaust shop and get a full exhaust redone Quote
04CHASE Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 thats shitty man, i think my car and truck is safe for now, one there so low you couldnt get under them if you tried and neither has those kitty things. Quote
Fireman31 Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Takes balls to do this in broad daylight as well. Thieves Quote
FireRescueSS Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Figured they'll be going after the trucks... easier to get at, most have two.... But, they prolly think they are also helping out the ricers, since they love that sound anyway, lol. Quote
