gixxerrider
I drove thru a construction zone this past week and I got new tar and road oil all over my truck. How do I remove it? I was going to take it some where to get it detailed (ie waxed and buffed) before the winter and I dont want all that stuff on my truck. Fireman31
Concentrated Simple Green should remove it.......spray it on and let it sit for a good 15-30 seconds then gently scrub with a microfiber towel. Make sure to keep the area wet with Simple Green, then rinse the surface off well. If Simple Green doesn't work(which it should), try an aerosol called Tarminator made by Stoner. Apply in the same manner as Simple Green. Edited September 22, 2008 by Fireman31 (see edit history)

Holty
a clay bar and some detail spray should also do the trick

99lss1
I use 3M adhesive and wax remover to get rubber from the track off. Works very well and is paint safe.
