Like i said in the PM..get covers so you can run them in the day time and pop them off at night

Or get the covers like brobradh77 said, but get the GTS carbon fiber ones. I had a set on my old Z-71 and left them on at night. The carbon fiber style uses a dot matrix design pattern. (not made of real carbon fiber) If I remember right, They allowed about 35% more light through over the smoked covers. I didn't think they looked to bad at all.

 

Here is a picture of them on my old truck. I had to removed the top ones only because I finally lost one in the cold weather after 9 years of having them on. You can see how well they kept the original headlight nice and clear. Not all hazed or yellowed. Just a thought for you.
