garagemethods
i'm not quite to the sss yet. but it's either dropin a 572 or the ss. not that the sss aint the shit, but 720 ponies on a bone stock engine is awful tempting. kelleyperformance
tahts kinda a no brainer to me... if youd dump the money in the 572, and dont mind a carb then do it. one question- where you gunna get race gas lol? garagemethods
haha yea the race gas is kinda a problem. its regular gas just like 110 octane level. so i'd proly have to fill up premium and dump like 10 bottles of octane booster every time. or just take the 620 horse version. but that's no fun. garagemethods
wider rims would fix it!! haha jk. but i feel what your sayin. although a 572 would be fun. and you may not like it in a truck, but can you honestly not like braggin about that? kelleyperformance
forget the 502, get some 12" wide 3 peice wheels and DRs and kick that shit to the floor FTMFW oh and the 620 horse is the same motor, and 110 octane IS race fuel lol. octane booster just isnt the same
blackss461982
can't loose either way as long as it's not your daily driver! lmao
garagemethods
wwhhhaaattt? so the two different 572's are only different bc one recommends premium and the other recommends race fuel? that's retarded.
kelleyperformance
well, unless one has a much higher compression.... which would make that statement completely untrue lol. i had just read it like, "620 hp on pump or 720 hp on race gas". but 100 hp is alot, different CR would make sense
garagemethods
yea that's what i would have thought. and has anyone ever used that complete fuel system cleaner? and if so did you notice any thing jumpier, like did it do it's job? kelleyperformance
you talking about lucas fuel treatment? ive been seeing a hell of alot of ads for it lately. IMO gm fuel injection service, with their tank additive. that 5.0 is injected right? i honestly dont remember
garagemethods
yea it's injected. but i'm not sure what company on the octane booster. i've just see it at autozone and places.

FireRescueSS
I would love to have the 572... mated with an allison 6 speed tranny... as a daily driver.... I live like just 12 miles round trip to work, and only gotta make the trip 3 - 4 times a week. Reduce reponse time to the FD though. I just want that tranny in my truck now with the 6.0, just not sure how to do it.
