It says that they are working on a vendor to supply the replacement cables and they will contact me when the cables are available @ the dealers. They also warn me to be extra carefull when putting weight on the tailgate until I get the new cables. No more tailgate party's for me I guess. Mikeyboy22 Posted April 18, 2004 Report Share Posted April 18, 2004 The Impalas/Caprices were not recalled because a shorting wire inside a gas tank would not do anything except killing the fuel pump, I see this a lot on the new yukons/tahoes. black03ss Posted April 25, 2004 Report Share Posted April 25, 2004 I got the letter 2 days ago and work at a Chevy dealership and didnt hear anything about it at work before the letter .
