j4nash
Is there a cam that will give me a good overall gain but not sound too choppy so the dealer does not know any different when I take it in. Also I will have a full exhaust system on it headers back.
BenKey
Something with a wide lsa, I'm thinking. Cam experts will help you, though.
BigTex
Are you going to have any custom tuning? For a mild cam without tuning, I'd order a custom Comp cams XE high lift cam in the 212/212 116lsa +4 range. If you will have the ability to raise your idle, go with a 215/215 116lsa +4. You could go with bigger, and tuning can cover up most of the cammed sound, but it will still be detectable to a trained ear.

slimsoftball
Mine is 212/218 558/563 with a 115 LSA. It is very mild in terms of lope and the drivablity is fine right now without the tune-up from Allen. Although when I go down there I probably will have him tweak it though. BenKey
What do you mean without Allen's tune? He already had you tuned for the other 212/218, right?
slimsoftball
Yea, he already has me tuned for the other. I was basically referring to a "tune-up" when I go down and get the tranny built and TC put in.
