I am going to hard wire it in; so the cord isn't hanging out and I can hook up a trailer without disconnecting it. Which wire on the four way goes to which wire on the truck? The diagram for the four way shows a ground, left, right, and brake. Are there running lights for these? If so how would it be hooked up? diggerdan11 Posted November 27, 2008 Report Share Posted November 27, 2008 did it not come with instructions, it should say which wire is which, and look at your owners manual to see what colors to hook them up too. I had an issue when i hooked the break light up, sometimes only half of the light bar would light up, so i re wired the break light to the third break light which i think is a light blue wire but not sure Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
team3and8 Posted November 27, 2008 Report Share Posted November 27, 2008 I put an inline adapter right where hardline goes into the trailer connector. It has the flat line on it to connect the light bar. Mine works with running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. Can't remember where I got it. Made it real easy and I still have my trailer plug.
