There might be one exception to the rule in the case of the Tahoe. If you had a 2000 Tahoe Limited you could get away with putting SS badges on it I think the purists would agree. The reason for this is that the 2000 Tahoe Limited was actually born as the "Tahoe SS" when the 350 Vortec was introduced in 1996. Most of the cool stuff actually survived and made it into the production version, like the power steering fluid cooler and a host of other Police-Package parts. and a video also of what i'm talking about

IMO, if the badge wasn't applied by the factory. Leave it off...

 

I wish my truck was a "ZR1" but for the respect for the people who spent the money for the "ZR1" I won't dub my truck as one.
