I'd almost say combine option 1 & 2; as weak as the front diff's are, it would be nice to always have a spare lying around. I have a spare for mine that I picked up from a member who decided to go 2WD. Which brings us to the point; once you reach a certain point, I believe AWD is more of a hindrance than an asset on the track where every one else is on slicks and all the extra power it eats up. I hate the fact our local 1/8th mile track forces you to drive through the water box, leaving you no way to go around it, that way you track water all the way to the starting line.
