ssblackss
Hi All, I have noticed that my front brakes rattle/chatter when going along and when I apply my brake slightly it stops, Has anyone come across this and is there a cure just noticed it this weekend as I had the windows down which I rarely do whilst at the hunting lease and bugger me. I hate rattles I want to get it fixed ASAP. Any suggestions? Jonathan
BenKey
Nothing that a good set of Hawk pads wouldn't cure. ;)
SuperDave
You can put a layer or two of anti-chatter padding on the piston side of the pad, but Ben's idea is much better. I have Hawk HPS pads on one of my trucks and they rule!
Parker8
How much do the Hawk pads cost? Have you changed your rotors or did you just have them cut? Are they any good replacement rotors, maybe bigger, that are worth buying?
BenKey
Hawks are $50 and $65, front and rear. No mod required to the rotors. Yes, numerous manufacturers make aftermarket rotors. Couldn't tell you how good they are.
