slimsoftball
Good article Ben. I was looking at the product page on that site. Which serpentine pulley fits our truck on that chart?
BenKey
Not 100% sure, just been told that they make them for our truck. I assume, although I could be wrong, that it's the same for the F-body. I'll find out more Monday.
dcairns
Why would anyone want to remove the harmonic balancer ? Might save some rotating weight, but
MustBBrent
underdrive pulleys don't remove the harmonic balancer do they? They just reduce the speed of the belt by shrinkning the size of the main crank pully. Right?
BenKey
The article sort of implies that some may. I don't have them, so can't tell you if the rubber ring is still there, or not.
SuperSport
i have the asp pulley and yes they do have the rubber material still in there to dampen vibration.
evandostert
This article does not cover the asp which have the dampener. This is for the not dampened ones like they have on bmw cars.
BenKey
The rubber ring is the dampener.
boeman
That answers a lot of the questions I had on the pulleys... Thanks for posting it!
evandostert
Don't dump on the asp pulley. They make a quality product. You all know I can be one picky guy. If they were junk I would have already posted it. They are a great product. I don't know about the alt pulley. I only have the one pulley. I will post track results as soon as I get them.
