CraigW
Do you know what the model number on your shocks were from summit racing?
Rob 94Hawk 319
Why wouldn't it be the same as a standard silverado? I imagine it's because of the torsion front suspension vs. the coil springs that are on the normal Silverado's. Yes, no? (I'm a fairly new truck n00b, so I'm still learning ). But likewise, I'd like to find a better than stock shock (while my truck isn't a SSS, it still has the HD (torsion) suspension). I know on the f-bodies the QA1's are more for guys that like to drag race, and aren't that great for rebound on the street. I've used Bilsteins on my Hawk, on the wifes Camaro and on our Trailblazer and haven't had any problems with them.
BenKey
If there isn't a QA1 available for our truck, which honestly I haven't looked that close to see, I would go with a Rancho RS9000. They're heavier, less expensive, but they are adjustable like the QA1.
