carm Posted September 17, 2009 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) WOW, after looking at all the SS'es on this forum (that are totally mint and incredibly BAD AZZ) i have come to terms w/myself that my SS needs a lot of help in the mint department. For starters i need to stop letting all my friends drive it like its a 1989 GEO METRO, and then maybe clean it 1 time a week instead of every 2 months. my SS is definitely a 20 footer. not that its all banged up, but it has its scratches and swirls in the paint. but i am highly inspired to make it mint over the winter. after all it is an SS. Made the mistake of letting someone who thought he was knew what he was doing to buff my truck. Gotta wait another month before I can get it rebuffed and get all those swirls out. I'm pretty embarrassed about it but hell, what can you do? I feel Carm's pain. It sucks not having a nice pretty truck like the rest of you have! I moved from Chicago to Laramie, WY for school. I thought weather was bad in Chicago.... oh lord. AK04SS Posted September 17, 2009 Report Share Posted September 17, 2009 what kind of buffer did your friend use? i invested into a porter cable for my black suburban i used to have and it totally helped with the swirls. and my SS looks sweet after a buffing, speakin of which, i need to do one before winter hits. I had my truck detailed for my cousins wedding only to have it over sprayed 2 weeks later black sss with white overspray all over it....
