superslowss
Hey guys. I just got my truck back from the trans shop and they had to hack up my exhaust to get to the transmission. So I'm going to cut out the rest and re-do it. I want to set up a clamp between the cats and the headers and I was wondering if a V-clamp would do the trick or if it would just leak and be too much trouble then it's worth. Here is a link to the clamps i'm looking at: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTC-60-912300S/ Thanks in advance guys
SD619SS
Those clamps work very well...no leaks if installed correctly

superslowss
Good deal. Thanks guys! Edit: Also should I get just the clamps or is it required to use the weld in bands? shadowsniper3006
i bought a bunch of clamps and have settled that these are the best for clamping force on stainless pipes with out damaging the pipes. http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/30802/10002/-1 however, here are some others i have come across in my battle to find the perfect clamp, and yes i did put time into into finding exhaust clamps because a leak pissed me off that much. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BOR-1800...mp;autoview=sku http://www.modyourcar.com.au/high-energy-s...70mm-hose-p4348 http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/Shop-b...l-Exhaust-Clamp
ANGRY6LITER
Band clamps have done the trick for me.
03_SS_22
SuperSlowSS, v-band clamps are the best in my opinion. All you have to do to take it apart is loosen is one bolt and its leak free if installed correctly. I'm installing v-bands on mine in a couple of weeks.
