It's an hour and forty five min. to the mx track where i was racing this morning. I'm borrowing one of the company trucks to haul around my quad 'cause a 50" wide quad will not fit into the back of an S-10 stepside. Anyway, I'm haulin' ass up this four lane highway and pass a quad cab hemi, big porn edition. He catched up to me at the next town going through a series of red lights. The company truck is an 01 or 02 3/4 ton HD regular cab, long box, with a 6.0 and 4:10 or 11 rear. The last light in town, dude starts revving the hemi. I don't want to race, but I'm in a huge hurry, so i nail it anyway. With 450lbs of quad, tools, and gear in my truck, I pull him as long as I can pick up speed. He finally caught up to me after it had shut down three times and I had resumed my 90 mph sprint to the track to make registration. I couldn't see through his windows, and don't really care, but I'm sure he was pissed about a work truck complete with liftgate and all my racing crap walking away from him. My best friend is one of the area's top Dodge mechanics, they call him to work on Vipers, but he'll tell you in a heartbeat, the new hemi doesn't live up to the hype of the hemi of the 60's.
