Big Tim Posted November 6, 2009 Report Share Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) The only problem with that show is that they don't do apples to apples comparisons on anything. I just wanted to see the neat toys, like the spetz ballistic knife. The military also uses the Benelli m4 shotgun, which is semi-auto. and all that rolling while you shoot is a little... ummm.... hollywood/stupid? Just my opinion. Also, the etool isn't the only bladed weapon they carry. But it is TV, so they had to make it somewhat even. BOB47 Posted November 6, 2009 Report Share Posted November 6, 2009 I don't know much about the Spetznaz but my cousin was a Green Beret during the Vietnam era. He was an average size guy. About 5'10" or 5'11" and around 200lbs. One night he was walking back to base when 4 guys with knives jumped him. 3 of them ended up in serious condition in the hospital and the other ran away and was picked up by the local police a few hours later.
